This picture is making fun of the current healthcare policy in America. Healthcare has been a controversial topic for many years and has started becoming more and more of a concern with America. In the last election, this was a popular topic for the two parties to debate because the two parties have different views on our current healthcare system. Since there is a high unemployment rate, this means that those people do not get coverage from an employer. Even many people who are employed that work for companies are not being provided with health coverage. There are currently 47 million Americans that do not have health insurance, and the numbers keep growing. Health insurance is becoming too expensive for the average family to afford coverage, leaving many families to struggle to be insured or must live without a healthcare plan. Families are going into bankruptcy trying to live a normal lifestyle and pay for healthcare. Reporters say that the cost of health care causes bankruptcy every 30 seconds.With no healthcare, families can not afford to go to the doctor, leading to a higher risk of disease and death. Children, who are especially prone to getting sick at young ages, are suffering the most from this healthcare system failure because their parents can’t take them to the doctor. The government has failed to find a solution to for reform, leaving the United as the only industrialized country that does not guarantee health coverage to all of its citizens.
